Scott Dodgson

Scott Dodgson wrote the popular movies “Anna Nicole Story”, “Paris Hilton, Princess Paparazzi.” He began his career in the theater winning the American College Theater Festival for both his play “No Beer In Heaven” as well as his critical writing. After two of his plays played Off-Off Broadway, he began his film career working for the famous French director Louis Malle as a script doctor on My Dinner with Andre’, Atlantic City, with Burt Lancaster and Susan Sarandon, and Au Revoir Les Enfants as well as several other French film scripts. Scott has optioned 40 scripts and ghosted on many high budget studio films. He penned six well-received films in Canada under writer for hire agreements, and signed a 5 picture first look deal with American Media Content, who has their own first look deal with Lionsgate. Scott has written and directed short films and commercials. He has written articles for the Village Voice, Art Magazine, Huffington Post, and many other publications. With an undergraduate degree in 17th century metaphysical poetry and an MFA in writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Scott brings a high degree of intelligence and perception to all his work. Scott is also known as a world class sailor, sailing the Vendee Globe, or being a guest skipper racing classic sailboats in great English Harbor to Dehaies race. He has made 18 round trip crossings across the Atlantic and 8 crossings across the Pacific. He has lived in Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, and France. He sailed the entire Mediterranean coast port by port. He has sailed as far north as the Baltic Sea and Alaska and as far south as Kenya in the Indian Ocean and from South Africa to Chile in the Southern Ocean along 50 degrees south. Scott served in the 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam era and saw extensive action. His vast experiences inform his writing and his personal authenticity.
