About the Host

Jeff Hogue

I have always had a lifelong obsession with history and understanding how ideology, politics, technology and economics have shaped the world. I have BA in history from Niagara University and a Masters Degree in History from California State University: Long Beach. My research in history primarily focused around the pre-modern and modern world from roughly 1492 to 2000. I am a historian of the old-school Leopold Von Ranke method. My goal as challenging as it is to try and give you an understanding of what happened and how it happened to the best of my ability. Although, I might from time to time give different perspectives or play devil’s advocate – I want you the listener to make your own ethical and political conclusions about what happened. I do not and will not share my political, ideological or religious beliefs on this show.
