About the Host

Dennis Rainey and Bob Lepine

Dennis Rainey is a Co-founder of FamilyLife, a subsidiary of Cru. Since the organization began in 1976, Dennis’ leadership has enabled FamilyLife to grow into a dynamic and vital ministry that offers families blueprints for living godly lives, marriages, and families in more than 109 countries around the world. Dennis has authored or co-authored more than 35 books including the best selling Moments Together for Couples and Staying Close. He has also received two Golden Medallion Awards from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. Dennis serves as the senior editor of the HomeBuilders Couples Series® which has sold over 3 million copies and has been translated into 47 languages. A powerful and effective communicator, Dennis can be heard daily as host of the nationally syndicated radio program FamilyLife Today® on more than 1100 radio stations/outlets in nearly all 50 states. He has been the recipient of the National Religious Broadcasters Radio Program of the Year Award twice. Dennis serves on the Board of Directors of FamilyLife, Dallas Theological Seminary and the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. Dennis has spoken at over 150 Weekend to Remember® Marriage Getaways across the United States and internationally. He has also spoken for Promise Keepers stadium events, YPO University Fellowship Forum, and FamilyLife’s I Still Do™ arena events. He has testified on family issues before Congress and has appeared on numerous radio and television programs. Dennis earned a degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Trinity Evangelical University and Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. Dennis and Barbara have been married since 1972 and love laughing with their six children and a growing number of grandchildren. In his spare time, Dennis enjoys helping Barbara in their garden, reading great books, and pursuing his passions for hunting and fishing. They live near Little Rock, Arkansas. Bob Lepine is Senior Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of FamilyLife and Co-Host of FamilyLife Today®, FamilyLife’s nationally syndicated radio program. A veteran of Christian radio, Bob has a degree in communications from the University of Tulsa. Prior to joining FamilyLife in 1992, Bob worked for local radio stations in Tulsa, Phoenix, Sacramento, and San Antonio. He is the author of The Christian Husband, and the on-air voice for “Truth for Life” with Alistair Begg. Bob also serves on the Executive Committee for National Religious Broadcasters. Bob and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he also serves as an elder and teaching pastor at Redeemer Community Church.
